I am a DMA student at University of Maryland – College Park and am an alumnus of the Maryland Opera Studio. I was a teaching assistant with duties including teaching classes like Vocal Literature and French Diction and giving private lessons to voice minors and secondary students. Before moving to Maryland, I was a voice instructor at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where I gave lessons to music majors at Case Western Reserve University. I received his Master of Arts degree at Middle Tennessee State University, where I had Voice and Opera teaching assistantships, and my Bachelor of Music degree from Georgia Southern University. I have a decade of experience teaching private lessons to a wide range of ages, from 13 to 72. 

WHO CAN TAKE LESSONS:

Anyone over the age of 14 can take lessons. I have worked with all voice types, both male and female, and people of all different ages. 

SUGGESTED LESSON SCHEDULE:

Depending on your level of experience and interests, I would recommend we meet at least once a week for 30 minutes to an hour at a time. Setting up a weekly lesson schedule will be important to making steady progress and seeing results. 

RATES AND HOURS:

Rates and hours are subject to change. 

Hours

Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are typically the most open days for me, though my schedule can vary based on performance and rehearsals schedules; I typically teach from early afternoon to early evening.

Rates:

I want to make sure that we have a good working partnership, so an introductory lesson is complementary. 

$35/ half hour lesson

$60/ hour lesson
